Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest peak (4,566 m), offers a striking trek through forests, alpine desert, and dramatic ridgelines. Often overshadowed by Kilimanjaro, it delivers an equally rewarding experience with rich wildlife, fewer crowds, and sweeping views of Kilimanjaro itself. Ideal for acclimatization or as a standalone adventure, this 4-day trek includes guided support, overnight mountain huts, and breathtaking landscapes.
After breakfast in Arusha, transfer to Arusha National Park for registration. Begin your trek from Momella Gate accompanied by an armed ranger as wildlife like giraffes and buffalo roam the lower slopes. The trail winds through montane forest before reaching Miriakamba Hut.

A steady climb through lush forests leads to the Saddle Hut, situated below Little Meru. In the afternoon, enjoy an acclimatization hike to the summit of Little Meru (3,820m) for panoramic views.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Start your summit push around midnight, climbing through Rhino Point and along the crater rim to reach Socialist Peak at sunrise. Enjoy breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro, the crater, and beyond. Descend back to Saddle Hut for breakfast and continue to Miriakamba Hut.

A gentle descent through forest trails leads back to Momella Gate, where you receive summit certificates. Transfer back to Arusha for rest or onward travel.
